Brock Krygier was an important addition to the Arizona State Sun Devils hockey program’s inaugural roster after the move up to Division I hockey in 2015-2016.
Krygier had spent three years at Michigan State and had played for the Spartans in 58 games across two of those three seasons. He had put up 3 assists in each season prior to transferring to Arizona State.
His arrival in the desert was important for Greg Powers’ inaugural roster due to his previous experience at the Division I level..
“Brock has great Division I experience we can draw on and is a natural leader both on and off the ice,” Powers said before the season. “We are thrilled to have such a model student athlete a part of our program.”
Krygier ended up playing in 25 games for the Sun Devils, scoring 1 goal and adding 2 assists.
Arizona State wore just one set of black jerseys and one set of white jerseys in their inaugural season.
This black set jersey was worn by Brock Krygier throughout the season and has light visible wear since any stick/puck marks are hidden by the dark color.
There are board burns in each sleeve and some long loose threads in the sleeve numbers. The loose threads in the right sleeve numbers show up in a variety of pictures of Krygier throughout the season.
On the front, there is evidence of an alternate captain’s letter being removed and some small stick marks in the crest.
The back shows the largest spot of wear with a huge slash burn in the back number.
One final note with these inaugural jerseys is that they all featured the embossed pitchforks in the numbers that made the early jerseys extra special.
