Demetrios Koumontzis played in 142 career games with the Arizona State Sun Devils, good enough for second all-time in the record books.
Komo was a consistent presence for ASU beginning in his freshman year and found himself utilized throughout the lineup by head coach Greg Powers. The forward even dabbled at defense late in the 2022-2023 season due to a plethora of injuries on the Sun Devils back end.
Koumontzis scored 22 goals and 45 assists in his career in Tempe. He also served as an alternate captain for his final two seasons with Arizona State.
The former Jr. Coyotes product tallied career highs in goals (7) and assists (11) in the 2022-2023 season.
The Arizona State Sun Devils introduced their Digi Flame jerseys prior to the end of 2022 and wore them in four games in the 2022-2023 season.
They were worn in the two game series against Boston College on December 30th and December 31st, 2022 and in the two game series against Lindenwood on February 17th and February 18th, 2023.
Demetrios Koumontzis wore this jersey in all four of those games. He tallied no goals and 2 assists for 2 total points in this sweater.
Komo’s Digi Flame jersey has some decent visible wear throughout, particularly for a four-game jersey.
There are two thick repairs on the left sleeve and several burns and small stick/puck marks. This sleeve also has a small burn hole on the yellow seam between the white and yellow fabrics. The upper part of the sleeve has a few board burns near the top of the digi flame print.
On the right sleeve the wear is a bit lighter with just a few board burns and light stick/puck marks.
The front has a gorgeous alternate captain’s “A” and one large stick mark on the left side (more on that later).
ASU’s digi flame jerseys featured large Stadium Series style numbers on the shoulders instead of on the sleeves which gave the jerseys a very unique look beyond it’s obvious flare. The left shoulder #2 has a unique placement and seam that has allowed for one of the two photomatches of the jersey thus far.
There is a large stick mark that is split into two different places on the left side of the back of Komo’s jersey that gives us our only other photomatch. Below the nameplate is another small dark stick/puck mark.
The digi flame jerseys have set tags that mark them as Arizona State Authentic Game Jerseys. Those tags show the customizer as Exclusive Pro Sports and also have the name of head equipment manager Corby Antropik.
