Josh Wilkins found his way to the Tucson Roadrunners the same way Phil Tomasino found himself with the Chicago Wolves.
The Milwaukee Admirals did not field a team for the abbreviated 2020-2021 AHL season, so their players ended up playing for other organizations temporarily.
Tomasino, among others, went to the Wolves and Wilkins found himself wintering in beautiful Tucson, AZ.
Wilkins played in 25 games for Tucson and scored 3 goals and 2 assists in those contests. The Meeps wore their Kachina alternates in 5 games and Josh wore this sweater in 3 of those.
The jersey has very light, but noticeable wear with a glue repair and hole on the right sleeve and some loose threads on the sleeve numbers. It is matched to games on April 3rd and the final game of the season on May 16th.
Wilkins signed the jersey on the back numbers.
It was acquired via an online raffle put on by the Tucson Roadrunners after the season.
