Nick Beaulieu was selected in the 8th round, 168th overall by the Edmonton Oilers in the 1986 NHL Entry Draft
Beaulieu spent one season and part of another playing for the Phoenix Roadrunners in the IHL
In 1989-1990, Beaulieu found himself on the top line with future NHL head coach Bruce Boudreau as they put up great numbers together
Nick Beaulieu had 26 goals and 46 assists for 72 points in 71 games
He toiled a few more years in the minors before retiring after the 2000-2001 season
Nick Beaulieu’s white HiLi ice sheen game worn jersey has an incredible amount of wear and easily takes the crown of most beat up gamer I’ve ever owned
The sleeves and body are littered with burns, slash marks, paint transfer, repairs, unrepaired holes, and everything in between
These HiLi ice sheen jerseys have fabric that is very stiff compared to modern jerseys, and it would seem this rigidity (plus only wearing one set and the more physical play) greatly contributed to how much damage the jerseys show and could take
The crest of the jersey is uniquely small and reminds me of the small logo dad hat trend today
The numbers on these are double layer twill and show a ton of wear and are split in multiple places, with Beaulieu signing the back numbers
Along with the regular game wear, there are also unidentified stains in places including the wrist of the right sleeve
The left sleeve has what looks like residue from a piece of tape in the bottom blue band around the wrist/forearm area
