Ryan MacInnis was drafted 43rd overall by the Arizona Coyotes in the 2014 NHL Draft.
The young forward never played a game for the Yotes, but he spent two seasons playing with the Tucson Roadrunners before being traded to the Columbus Blue Jackets for Jacob Graves and a 6th round draft pick in 2019.
MacInnis was a consistent part of the early Meeps lineups but never saw his offensive game materialize in Tucson.
He was popular with the fans, though, and instantly recognizable thanks to being the son of hockey legend Al MacInnis.
Ryan MacInnis’s red set game worn jersey was used throughout the 2016-2017 season and has solid wear.
The right sleeve has 2 repairs and some board burns. The right sleeve has at least 7 repairs, as well as board burns and one small unrepaired hole. There is a dark puck mark in the elbow bands and a stick/puck mark on the sleeve number. There are loose threads in the numbers on both sleeves.
The front of the MacInnis sweater is fairly clean beyond some faint stick marks in the white bands around the waist area. The back is also pretty clean beyond some wash wear and a small unrepaired hole that can be seen near the sleeve numbers on the left sleeve.
MacInnis’ jersey has a unique signature on it back numbers as well.
The original owner had this inaugural gamer signed during the club’s second season at a meet the team event. By that point, MacInnis had changed his number to #72 and he unfortunately signed the jersey with his new number.
These inaugural red set game worn jerseys did not have set tags because they weren’t delivered to Detroit Hockey Company like the white sets. They were instead given as gifts to season ticket holders, corporate accounts, and charities and charity events.
This makes them much rarer than the white jerseys and therefore more valuable.
