Sean Dhooghe was one of the most interesting players to ever lace them up for Arizona State Sun Devils hockey.
At just 5’3 and 150 pounds, Dhooghe was perhaps the smallest Division I hockey player in the country.
He made up for that with a combination of skill, grit, and relentless hustle that made him a fan favorite and important addition to ASU hockey’s roster when he transferred to Tempe from Wisconsin after his junior season.
Dhooghe scored 4 goals and 10 assists in his final season with the Sun Devils.
Arizona State introduced these military jerseys inspired by Pat Tillman in November of 2021.
They wore them in two wins later that month against Bemidji State (11/24 and 11/26). While Dhooghe’s PT42 gamer was only worn in 2021-2022, the jerseys of returning players were also worn in 2022-2023 and 2023-2024.
The jerseys feature a sublimated crest and an American flag patch on the left shoulder. The numbers are sublimated and the nameplate is sewn. These sweaters also include a tribute to Sun Devils alumni Pat Tillman with a PT42 patch on the back above the nameplate.
Dhooghe wore this one in both games against Bemidji State, scoring an assist on 11/24/21 and a goal on 11/26/21.
Dhooghe’s PT42 gamer has light wear since it was worn in just two games.
There are board burns and stick marks in both sleeves below the elbow. The left sleeve has two burns in the sleeve #9, as well.
This jersey is fairly clean otherwise on both front and back.
These Pat Tillman inspired jerseys have custom military themed set tags and feature a quote from Tillman on the top of the tag.
