Victor Söderström wore this red set game worn jersey for the Tucson Roadrunners during his first season of professional hockey in North America.
Söderström was considered the steal of the draft by former Arizona Coyotes general manager John Chayka. He was the player the Coyotes had targeted as their top prospect.
The young Swede skated in 32 games in Tucson, scoring 2 goals and adding 10 assists.
It wasn’t the most impactful season, but taking into account the issues surrounding his last two professional seasons (both abbreviated due to COVID-19) he certainly had some flashes of promise including a late season call-up to Glendale where he scored his first NHL goal.
The Roadrunners were scheduled to wear their red jerseys in 10 games in 2020-2021, but due to postponements and cancellations because of the pandemic they only wore them in 8 of those games.
Victor wore this jersey in all 8 of those games, tallying only one goal.
Söderström’s jersey has light wear.
There are some board burns in the sleeve and an unrepaired cut on the right sleeve. The right sleeve also has a mark on the sleeve #7 that led to the photomatch above. There is a stick mark on the left sleeve and a few faint ones in the band around the waist.
The sweater is pretty clean otherwise. Soda’s game is definitely more finesse than hard-nosed.
