Viktor Arvidsson wore this jersey for the Milwaukee Admirals throughout his first professional season in North America.
The Swedish winger didn’t stay in the AHL for long. One full season and a part of another, but he made the most of it.
If you can say one thing about the 2014-2015 Admirals jerseys, it’s that they are as beautiful as they are weird.
The most notable feature of this season of Admirals gamers is the way the team did the lettering and numbering. The letters are numbers are completely sublimated onto their own air-knit patches and sewn down to the jersey.
It’s rather odd and certainly not the most attractive, but it makes the jerseys unique.
Arvidsson’s jersey has nice wear with repairs and/or unrepaired holes in both sleeves. The left sleeve also has an interesting blue-green mark just below the elbow that I was able to photomatch to an April 18th, 2015 game against the Chicago Wolves where he scored his 22nd goal of that season.
One other notable bit of wear is a fairly large repair located in the lettering on the nameplate.
This is the first time I’ve seen a repair in that area, and it was very easy to photomatch it to a February 11th, 2015 matchup that was also against the Wolves. You can see that match in the photos to the left.
Arvy finished his lone full AHL season with 22 goals and 33 assists in 70 games. The next season he had 18 points in just 17 games in Milwaukee, proving that he was quite ready to be a full-time NHL player.
