Alex Tuch had a career year in 2018-2019 for the Vegas Golden Knights.
It was his second full season in the NHL, and he responded with a 20 goal and 32 assist performance in 74 games. It was his first (and so far only) 20 goal season and remains his high-water mark in points by a significant margin.
Since 2018-2019, Tuch has battled injuries which have combined with the COVID pandemic issues affecting the NHL to limit the amount of games he’s been able to play.
Despite that, Tuch has remained a very effective power forward when in the lineup. That size and skill were enough to convince the Buffalo Sabres to ask for Tuch in the trade that ultimately landed Jack Eichel in Vegas.
The Golden Knights wore their White Set 3 jerseys in 10 games from February 18th, 2019 through April 6th, 2019. Tuch played in all 10 games, scoring 3 goals and 4 assists.
His sweater has considerable wear for the small number of games.
The right sleeve shows an unrepaired hole right at the border between the red band and the white area at the elbow. Below that are several other burn holes that have been patched over from behind with the Vegas’ usual patch adhesive repairs. Just above the red band the gold fabric has frayed away in one section revealing white fabric beneath.
The left sleeve has one repair in the white area below the elbow, a cluster of repairs in the red band around the elbow, and a nice amount of stick marks. Some of them are visible and others are more faint and appear to have faded a bit over time due to wash wear.
The front of the jersey has one stick mark just above the crest that has faded a bit from how it appears in photos. The right side of the jersey next to the crest also has a few marks visible.
The back of the sweater has a stick mark above the back #8, another mark to the left of the #8, and some interesting residue that looks a bit like glue that goes over the back side of the Vegas Golden Knights team set tagging. The jersey has both Vegas and MeiGray tagging in the hem.
