Colin Theisen transferred to Arizona State from Notre Dame for the 2021-2022 season.
It was the final season at Oceanside for the Sun Devils and Theisen saw it out in style by setting the school record for points in a season with 42. He had 19 goals and 23 assists in 35 games.
Theisen was named captain of the Sun Devils and finished in the top 20 of scoring in the NCAA in 2021-2022.
The winger came through in the clutch, too. He scored against five different ranked opponents while tallying the fourth most goals in a season in school history.
Theisen chose to stay in the desert and sign with the Tucson Roadrunners after the conclusion of his college career.
The Arizona State Sun Devils introduced their new maroon and white jerseys prior to the 2021-2022 season.
These jerseys were meant to replace the previous maroon and white styles that had been worn since 2018-2019 with the maroon being worn on the road and the white at home at Oceanside.
ASU wore the away jerseys in 10 games during the 2021-2022 season.
Colin Theisen played in all 10 of the contests and scored 6 goals and 6 assists for 12 points.
Theisen’s maroon set jersey has good wear and was photomatched to several different games, as well as the Senior Night photo.
The front of this sweater is relatively clean with only a loose thread showing on the captain’s “C”.
There are some board burns, small burn holes, and one repair on the lower right sleeve. Just above the sleeve numbers is a double repair. On the left sleeve the yellow hem has multiple small holes, cuts, and two stick marks. Above the hem is a large double or triple sewn repair, some board burns, and burns above the sleeve numbers.
The sleeve numbers on both sides have loose threading.
Theisen’s jersey has very little visible wear on the back with just some loose threading, including on the nameplate. Below the numbers is a small unrepaired cut.
These new maroon sweaters had set tags inside the back hem declaring them as Arizona State Authentic Game Jersey and have Jon Laughner’s name on the set tags since he was in the head equipment manager for Sun Devil hockey at that time.
