Scott Hartnell was selected 6th overall by the Nashville Predators in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft.
Hartnell developed into one of the best homegrown forwards in franchise history, but was eventually included as part of the fire sale trade to Philadelphia prior to the 2007-2008 season.
In 2002-2003, the feisty forward was on the cusp of coming into his own offensively.
He scored 12 goals and 22 assists that season and his goal-scoring production was about to take a major step forward for most of the rest of the prime of his career. Hartnell also racked up 101 penalty minutes and fought 5 times for Nashville.
His aggressive playstyle and fiery nature led to him fighting 26 times across 7 seasons in Nashville. That total has him sitting sixth overall on the Nashville Predators Loyalty List for fighting majors.
The Nashville Predators wore their Navy Set 1 game worn jerseys in 16 games from November 11th through December 23rd, 2002 in the 2002-2003 NHL season.
Hartsy wore this jersey in all 16 of those games and tallied 4 assists in the sweater.
It has very nice wear with a solid amount of stick marks visible throughout the jersey, as well as board burns and repairs.
There are at least 11 repairs in the right sleeve along with a healthy smattering of stick marks and board burns. The repairs are found in all three fabric colors on the sleeve from white to navy to silver. There is also a small red paint transfer mark.
Hartnell’s jersey has even more stick and puck marks on the left sleeve, along with some kind of white residue in the navy fabric that could be paint transfer. This sleeve has 3+ repairs to go along with quite a few board burns, as well. Finally, some large darker black marks are found between the shoulder patch and the sleeve numbers.
The front of the jersey features the Nashville Predators’ 5th Anniversary patch on the right breast and has some smaller stick/puck marks in the crest, shoulders, and on the hem at the bottom. The back is relatively clean and shows some wash wear, a bit of loose threading, and some small stick/puck marks on the hem.
