Tyler Busch was once called the “ultimate team guy” and “ultimate captain” by Arizona State hockey head coach Greg Powers.
Busch served as co-captain alongside Brinson Pasichnuk in the 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 seasons.
He committed to ASU hockey in its infancy as it headed into its first full season as a Division I program.
Busch, alongside Pasichnuk and others, built the program from scratch and push into the national picture with a tournament berth in 2018-2019 and another one on the way in 2019-2020 before the pandemic prematurely ended the season.
The forward finished his Sun Devils career with 26 goals and 51 assists in 131 games played. He sits fourth all-time in points, fifth in goals and assists, and accumulated the most penalty minutes in school history.
The Sun Devils wore their black set jerseys in six games in the 2019-2020 season.
Tyler Busch played in all six games and scored 1 goal and 3 assists in those games.
His jersey shows a good bit more wear than the Brinson Pasichnuk I have in the same style.
Both sleeves show several board burns and there are two unrepaired holes. There is also a pull or two in the jersey front and sleeves. The captain’s “C” has a burn or scuff mark on the top right corner.
The back right hem has a cut just below where the sleeve hangs in the maroon band. There are also some loose and/or popped threads in the body and the numbers.
